Bob is a 7th generation Mississippian who received
his BBA degree in Finance from the University of Mississippi. He
received his Juris Doctorate
from Mississippi College School of Law. He has been practicing law
for more than 25 years. He is admitted to practice in both Mississippi
and Texas. He is the former District Attorney for the 294th Judicial
District in Texas. He is admitted in the state courts of Texas as
well as the Federal court for the Eastern District of Texas. He is
admitted
in all Mississippi state courts, the Northern and Southern Districts
of Mississippi as well as the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Cornelius and his real estate department are extensively involved in real estate transactions and their closings. He is a veteran of thousands of closings.
He has extensive personal injury experience. He also has been extensively
active in heirship and real estate practices. He was counsel in the
landmark heirship case of Mitchell v. Mayes, and has represented both
proponents and opponents of wills in other contests. He has extensive
experience in real estate disputes and commercial real estate planning.
Furthermore, he has broad experience in the criminal law arena, having
prosecuted and defended murders and lesser crimes. He has been involved
in representing clients in hundreds of DUI cases.
